They have different set of shareholders, they have different board of directors and different CEO running the show,\u201d he said.\u00a0<br \/>\nHowever, Teng did praise Trump, saying that Binance has benefited from the president\u2019s \u201cpro-crypto\u201d policies despite not directly operating in the US.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cLast year was a landmark year in that institutions are finally coming on board,\u201d Teng said.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cWith President Trump coming out with both [a] strategic crypto reserve or asset stockpile, it will force governments around the world  to look at this space quite seriously.\u201d<br \/>\nIn a departure from his predecessor, Joe Biden, Trump has said he wants to make America the \u201cworld\u2019s crypto capital\u201d and has appointed pro-industry leadership to key regulatory posts.<br \/>\nSource: CZPotential conflicts of interest<br \/>\nCiting sources familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal report mentioned that CZ \u2014 who served four months in prison in the US \u2014 has been pushing for the Trump administration to grant him a pardon.<br \/>\n\u201cIt is unclear what form the Trump family stake would take if the deal comes together or whether it would be contingent on a pardon,\u201d the report said.<br \/>\nBinance is the world\u2019s largest cryptocurrency exchange, but Binance.US lags Coinbase in the US market.\u00a0<br \/>\nCZ denied the report in an X post published the same day.\u00a0Trump also denied the report in a post on Truth Social, his social media platform.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cThe Globalist Wall Street Journal has no idea what they are doing or saying.
