{"id":128989,"date":"2025-05-10T19:16:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-10T19:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cryptospotters.net\/?p=128989"},"modified":"2025-05-10T19:16:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-10T19:16:15","slug":"dnc-chair-doubles-down-on-his-ultimatum-for-hogg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cryptospotters.net\/?p=128989","title":{"rendered":"DNC chair doubles down on his ultimatum for Hogg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Source: Politics<\/p>\n<p>Democratic National Convention Chair Ken Martin on Saturday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/04\/24\/dnc-chair-swipes-at-david-hogg-you-have-to-make-a-decision-00307247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">doubled down<\/a> on his ultimatum for rogue Vice Chair David Hogg: Take a neutrality pledge or step down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParty officers have one job: to be fair stewards of a process that invites every Democrat to the table \u2014 regardless of personal views or allegiances,\u201d Martin said.<\/p>\n<p>After weeks of infighting about how the hobbled party should move forward, Martin laid out his longstanding vision on Saturday in a post on X and called out Hogg, who caused an uproar last month after he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/04\/15\/david-hogg-dnc-vice-chair-to-spend-big-to-take-down-safe-democratic-incumbents-00292535\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told POLITICO<\/a> that he would fund Democratic primaries for \u201cineffective, asleep-at-the-wheel\u201d Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Following Hogg\u2019s comments, Martin made it clear that as a party officer, you must remain neutral in Democratic primaries \u2014 and suggested Hogg should step down from his role if he can\u2019t get on board.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/kenmartin73\/status\/1921244659445043674\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The statement<\/a> comes hours after it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/05\/10\/hogg-dnc-00338984\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported by POLITICO<\/a> that Hogg privately pitched a compromise to his party in recent days.
