Kalashi settled a major legal battle with the CFTC over election betting earlier this month.\u00a0<br \/>\nQuintenz outlined the steps he will take to avoid conflicts of interest if confirmed as CFTC chairman in an agreement letter to John Einstman, the CFTC\u2019s Designated Agency Ethics Official, dated May 21.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cI will not participate personally and substantially in any particular matter in which I know that I have a financial interest directly and predictably affected by the matter,\u201d he stated.\u00a0<br \/>\nEdit the caption here or remove the textAn excerpt of Brian Quintenz&#8217;s letter.
