A person drove a vehicle into a gate outside the White House on Tuesday night, according to the Secret Service.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt approximately 10:37 p.m., an individual drove a vehicle into the Secret Service vehicle gate located at 17th & E St, NW,\u201d the Secret Service said on X.<\/a><\/p>\n The law enforcement agency, which is responsible for protecting the president, added the driver was \u201carrested & the vehicle was assessed and deemed safe.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOur investigation into the cause of this collision is ongoing,\u201d the Secret Service said, without giving further details about the person arrested, the type of vehicle or a possible motive.<\/p>\n President Donald Trump was inside the White House at the time of the incident, the New York Times reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
