{"id":20055,"date":"2021-09-05T13:22:44","date_gmt":"2021-09-05T13:22:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cryptospotters.net\/?p=20055"},"modified":"2021-09-05T13:22:44","modified_gmt":"2021-09-05T13:22:44","slug":"the-buttigiegs-celebrate-2-babies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cryptospotters.net\/?p=20055","title":{"rendered":"The Buttigiegs celebrate 2 babies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Source: Politics<\/p>\n<p>WASHINGTON \u2014 Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his husband, Chasten, are <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PeteButtigieg\/status\/1434167993769111552?s=20\">celebrating the arrival<\/a> of not one \u2014 but two \u2014 bundles of joy.<\/p>\n<p>The first openly gay person to be confirmed by the Senate for a Cabinet position had shared last month that the couple had become parents after seeking to adopt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t wait to share more soon,\u201d he tweeted then.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg shared more on Saturday, tweeting a photo of Chasten and him each cradling a newborn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChasten and I are beyond thankful for all the kind wishes since first sharing the news that we\u2019re becoming parents,\u201d the secretary wrote on his personal Twitter account. \u201cWe are delighted to welcome Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg to our family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He released no other details about the babies, such as whether they are twins.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg, 39, has talked publicly about his desire to become a father since his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and Chasten, 32, were married in June 2018.
