{"id":38288,"date":"2022-03-07T15:16:37","date_gmt":"2022-03-07T15:16:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cryptospotters.net\/?p=38288"},"modified":"2022-03-07T15:16:37","modified_gmt":"2022-03-07T15:16:37","slug":"barr-bashes-trump-but-says-hed-still-vote-for-him-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cryptospotters.net\/?p=38288","title":{"rendered":"Barr bashes Trump but says he\u2019d still vote for him in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Source: Politics<\/p>\n<p>Former Attorney General William Barr suggested Monday that he would vote for former President Donald Trump in 2024 if Trump is selected as the Republican Party\u2019s presidential nominee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI certainly have made it clear I don\u2019t think he should be our nominee, and I\u2019m going to support somebody else for the nomination,\u201d Barr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/video\/trump-went-off-the-rails-after-2020-election-william-barr-says-134748229558\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told NBC\u2019s \u201cToday\u201d show<\/a> in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>But \u201cbecause I believe that the greatest threat to the country is the progressive agenda being pushed by the Democratic Party,\u201d Barr added, \u201cit\u2019s inconceivable to me that I wouldn\u2019t vote for the Republican nominee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barr pledged to vote for Trump should he win the 2024 GOP nomination for president despite grave accusations and condemnations leveled against the former president in the former attorney general&#8217;s forthcoming book about his time in the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Barr describes in his book clashes with Trump over the White House\u2019s false claims of widespread fraud in the 2020 election \u2014 culminating in a meeting with Trump last December that saw the Justice Department chief refute the president\u2019s election lies to his face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told him that what he was saying was b.s. and that there was no basis for it. And he was livid,\u201d Barr said Monday.
