Hillary Clinton announced on Tuesday that she had tested positive for Covid-19.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve got some mild cold symptoms but am feeling fine,\u201d Clinton, the onetime Democratic presidential nominee and former secretary of State and U.S. senator, said on Twitter. \u201cI\u2019m more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven\u2019t already!\u201d<\/p>\n
Clinton also said that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had \u201ctested negative and is feeling fine.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s quarantining until our household is fully in the clear. Movie recommendations appreciated!\u201d she said in a tweet.<\/p>\n
Clinton\u2019s announcement comes amid a string of positive Covid results from prominent figures in the last few weeks \u2014 including White House press secretary Jen Psaki, former President Barack Obama and second gentleman Doug Emhoff. Though overall Covid cases in the U.S. have fallen, the uptick in cases in Europe of the BA.2 variant of the coronavirus could indicate a similar outbreak in the U.S.<\/p>\n
