The first portion of the advance that was paid to Gorsuch was $250,000, which was revealed in Gorsuch\u2019s most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/fixthecourt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Gorsuch-NM-J3.-SC_SR_21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">financial disclosure<\/a> dated May 16.<\/p>\n<p>Gorsuch is represented by Javelin, a premier Washington literary agency that has represented authors from across the political and media spectrums, including former Trump national security adviser John Bolton and former FBI Director James Comey.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the court had no immediate comment.<\/p>\n<p>This is Gorsuch\u2019s second book for a broader audience; in 2019, he published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Republic-If-You-Can-Keep\/dp\/0525576789\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cA Republic, If You Can Keep It,\u201d<\/a> which explored his journey from Colorado to becoming a Supreme Court justice, among other matters. The book made the New York Times bestseller list.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, a number of Supreme Court justices have written books about their judicial philosophies and their upbringings. Last year, Justice Stephen Breyer published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Authority-Court-Peril-Politics\/dp\/0674269365\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201c\u200b\u200bThe Authority of the Court and the Peril of Politics.\u201d<\/a> In 2014, Justice Sonia Sotomayor published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/My-Beloved-World-Sonia-Sotomayor\/dp\/034580483X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cMy Beloved World.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/06\/09\/gorsuch-250k-book-advance-harpercollins-00038579\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"feedzy-rss-link-icon\" rel=\"noopener\">Read More<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: Politics Justice Neil Gorsuch is writing a new book about judicial and regulatory policy.
