The Twitter CEO has engaged it, boosting visibility,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AOC\/status\/1663599965698916371?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweeted on Tuesday<\/a>. \u201cIt is releasing false policy statements and gaining spread. I am assessing with my team how to move forward. In the meantime, be careful of what you see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1663240698336772107?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Musk had previously responded<\/a> to the tweet from the fake account claiming to have a crush on him with a fire emoji.<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday evening, the fake account had racked up more than 130,000 followers.<\/p>\n<p>The account, showing the name \u201cAlexandria Ocasio-Cortez Press Release (parody),\u201d was \u201cverified\u201d with a blue check. The verification system used to be a form of authentication for Twitter accounts \u2014 in part, a way to prevent users from confusing the accounts of government officials or famous users with fakes.
