The 19,999 yuan-plus (US$2,980-plus) Mate XT 2 trifold smartphone uses Kirin 9050 Pro chips designed by Huawei’s HiSilicon unit, the company said at a launch event on Monday. The phone is also the first device to run on HarmonyOS 7, the latest version of Huawei’s self-developed operating system.
